La marca Mezcal El Silencio lleva el nombre del bar de la película "Mulholland Drive". El Silencio Joven se lanzó en Los Ángeles a finales del verano de 2013. El Joven es una mezcla de tres tipos de agave: mexicáno (también conocido como rhodacantha), tobasiche (también conocido como karwinskii) y espadín (angustifolia). Es un producto oaxaqueño elaborado por el Maestro Mezcalier Pedro Hernández y se destila en alambiques de cobre.
Notas de Cata de Mezcal El Silencio Joven
Nariz: Verduras secas al sol, cuero, frutos secos y humo dulce.
Boca: Pimienta blanca, jazmín, hinojo y especias.
Final: Ligeramente carbonizado, con toques de tabaco, minerales y chile.
