Un Teaninich single malt 2008 del embotellador independiente Elixir Distillers, madurado en un tonel de una sola recarga durante 11 años, antes de ser embotellado en agosto de 2020 como parte de su serie Single Malts of Scotland. Aromas de heno recién cortado, bayas de enebro, flor de saúco, kiwi y hojas de otoño llenan la nariz, complementados con notas de caramelo, pomelo y helado de fresa en todo el paladar.

Nariz: Aromas de heno recién cortado, bayas de enebro, flor de saúco, kiwi y hojas de otoño llenan la nariz.

Boca: Hay una presencia de turba mucho mayor en el sabor de lo que sugiere la nariz. El sabor ahumado llega rápidamente al paladar y luego disminuye.

Final: Textura suave bastante rica y encantadora.

Información de la destilería

Teaninich, destilería de whisky, está en Alness. Fue fundado y construido en 1817 por Hugh Munro en su finca del castillo de Teaninich. A pesar de la dificultad inicial para conseguir whisky de cebada debido a la gran demanda de las destilerías ilegales, en 1830 Teaninich producía 30 veces más bebida espirituosa que en el momento de su fundación.
