Its extended maturation in new charred American oak develops layers of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and rich baking spice. Bold and full-bodied, it balances classic bourbon sweetness with deep oak character and a warming, cask-strength intensity. The 2024 release yielded just 102 bottles, making it a scarce addition for collectors of independent American whiskey.

Rare Character Brook Hill Private Barrel 9 Year Old 'Lyon' Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich caramel and brown sugar with vanilla, toasted oak, ripe cherry and warming cinnamon.

Palate: Full-bodied and powerful, with dark caramel, vanilla, toffee and ripe fruit layered with toasted nuts, baking spices and charred oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering brown sugar, vanilla, dark fruit and dry oak spice.

Distillery Information

Rare Character Whiskey Co. is an independent American whiskey company known for selecting distinctive barrels and presenting them in highly limited releases.
