Colombo's career began with the purchase of a small plot of old vines on a granite hillside overlooking Cornas village itself. His first vintage of Cornas Les Ruchets in 1987 established his reputation. It remains his flagship wine, although it has since been joined by a further three Cornas cuvées: Les Terres Brûlées; La Louvée; and Vallon de l’Aigle. Colombo also makes a raft of regional wines through holdings and his negociant range from all northern Rhône titles and numerous other, more southerly, appellations. These include: Le Rouet Hermitage; La Divine, a Côte Rôtie; Les Bartavelles (red) and Les Bartavelles Interdites (white) from Châteauneuf-du-Pape; and a Condrieu (L'Amour de Dieu).
