For this, 3 different rum distillates (distilled from fresh sugar cane and molasses) are combined. It contains heavy notes of molasses rum baked in the pot still, as well as the lightness of rum made from sugar cane distilled in the column still. Each of the participants in this blend aged up to eight years in American white oak barrels in their Caribbean homeland. The blends are not married until they are united in the French city of Cognac and then - together - aged for 12 months in former cognac barrels.
