The Teelings went on to found the Great Northern Distillery (on the site of the Great Northern Brewery – the former producer of Harp lager) with other investors, while Jack and Stephen – with some stock left over from the Cooley sale – also went on to found Teeling Whiskey in Dublin in 2012, not far from where ancestor Walter Teeling had set up a distillery in 1782.
