Brochet began cultivating family vines in 1997 and released an inaugural vintage in 2002. Brochet cultivates 2.5 hectares (6 acres) of vines planted to 37 percent Pinot Meunier, 30 percent Chardonnayq and 23 percent Pinot Noir. All within Le Mont Benoit lieu-dit the oldest vines date from 1962 with organic farming principles adopted as of 2008. The flagship wine of the portfolio is the Le Mont Benoit, a blend of all three grape varieties the portions of which depend on the vintage. Grapes are quickly fermented in barrel with indigenous yeasts with all wines kept on lees until bottling with no fining or filtration employed.
