Detailed Description
A limited edition from Bunnahabhain on Islay, the Canasta 1980 was matured in oloroso sherry casks before spending 'a few months' in sweet Canasta sherry casks. The result is a complex and many layered whisky, with Bunnahabhain's oily and fruity spirit character carefully combined with dried fruit, treacle and chocolate notes.

Nose: Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: This is a very light and refreshing malt.

The Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 near Port Askaig on Islay. The village of Bunnahabhain was founded to house its workers. The distillery is owned by Distell.
