Its focus is on red wines made from Pinot Noir. The domaine began with the marriage of Jean Confuron and Anne Marie Bouchard in 1926, bringing together the vineyards of two different families. These vineyards have been passed through the family since, and the domaine has expanded as well, picking up plots in the prestigious grand cru sites. The viticultural portfolio is now approximately 95-percent Pinot Noir with small plantings of Chardonnay and Aligoté. In the winery, grapes are destalked prior to a short period of cold maceration. Fermentation is done in both stainless steel and oak before being placed immediately into barrels for ageing.
