The property was passed down through the Chevillon family and grew to its present size of roughly 13 hectares (32 acres). Several plots owned by Robert Chevillon were in vineyards that were upgraded to premier cru, adding to the success of the domaine's wines. Robert Chevillon was the first to bottle wines at the domaine instead of selling to négociants. He retired in 2003, passing the establishment onto his sons. Chevillon has parcels in eight premier cru sites in Nuit-Saint-Georges.
