Established in 1878 the picturesque Glenrothes Distillery is in the small town of Rothes, home to five Distilleries. This fine Speyside Malt has been the main component, in Berry Brothers & Rudd Cutty Sark Blend since 1920. Alexander Murray & Co brings you this rare bottling of Glenrothes. Distilled in 1993 spending 22 years in Oak Casks.

Nose: Intense smoke on the nose with a hint of sweetness.

Palate: Balanced sweetness on the palate followed by strong peat and smoke notes.

Finish: Extremely long and peaty finish.

Distillery Information

Laphroaig Distillery is located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay, and is named after the area of land at the head of Loch Laphroaig. The distillery was founded in 1815, by brothers Alexander and Donald Johnston. They actually built the site in 1810 and started a cattle farm.
