The estate vineyards are planted on around 60 hectares (148 acres) of land in the Valpolicella Classico region. The vines occupy some of the most renowned terroir of this region, around notable villages like Fumane, Marano and Negrar. The Speri Viticoltori vineyards, located some 12km (seven miles) northwest of the city of Verona, are planted on traditional stone terraces that enjoy a mild climate moderated by the nearby Lake Garda. All of Speri's vineyards and wines are certified organic. For the Amarone, after picking and sorting, the grapes are left to dry for approximately three to four months before fermentation.
