The wines labeled Fabrice Dodane are négociant wines made from purchased grapes, which has been a necessity for Fabrice after a few disastrous vintages in 2018 and 2019, where he lost up to 90% of the harvest due to frost and hail. The principles of his négociant wines are the same as for his domain wines: Spontaneous fermentation, no filtration or fining and zero added sulphur. The grapes come from areas outside Arbois – mainly Côtes du Jura and Burgundy – and you really get your money’s worth.
