Crafted with a high proportion of rye, this handmade, unfiltered bourbon combines the sweetness of corn with the bold spice of Florida-grown black rye. Its character balances caramel and sweet grain notes with smoky cinnamon and subtle barley richness. Bottled at 100 proof, it delivers a robust, full-bodied profile designed to complement hearty dishes while remaining enjoyable neat.

Big Gus Black Rye Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet corn and caramel with rye spice, toasted grain and hints of smoky cinnamon.

Palate: Rich caramel and sweet corn lead, followed by bold rye spice, toasted grain and smoky cinnamon. Founded in 2014 by Camden Ford and Aaron Barnes, the distillery developed a grain-to-glass approach centered on producing and blending individual grain-based whiskeys. Its methods allow the character of corn, rye, wheat and barley to be developed separately before blending, giving the team flexibility in creating distinctive flavor profiles. Timber Creek produces a range of spirits and has gained recognition for its experimental approach to whiskey production and its use of Florida-grown grains.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0050/2395/7103/files/1_3e55e85e-65bd-45cd-a9db-f11135b7b00b.webp?v=1791572920
