It was founded in 1974 by Frank Woods and the first commercial wines produced were a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir. Clos du Bois now has a large portfolio and its production is over one million cases annually. The company has a selection populated by wines at a range of price points, but are mostly made from varieties common in California and Sonoma – Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.
