Spent Spirit Hound malt whisky barrels go to the folks over at Bee Squared, where raw honey is placed in the barrels and left to absorb whisky essence for 90 days (getting turned once a day!). The honey barrel then comes back to Spirit Hound, where they fill it with a finished (2-year-old) whisky and let it sit for 3 months.
