      Detailed Description

The prestigious Pichler Krutzler winery was founded in 2007 Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler, both with a family history of viticulture. The Dürnsteiner Kellerberg is the paragon for a top single vineyard in the winegrowing region Wachau and produces this exquisite 100% Gruner Veltliner. This is a full-bodied and concentrated Gruner with classic smokey and peppery notes, traces of yeast and fresh aromas of pears and apples.

        Producer Information

Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler grew up with wine and played a major role in their parents' businesses for many years - she in the Wachau, he in southern Burgenland. So viticulture was, so to speak, in their cradle. So the logical, almost natural consequence of their marriage was their own winery. In 2007 they started with a meagre 10,000 bottles, and today they produce about 15 different wines from famous single vineyard such as Supperin, Loibenberg, Kellerberg or Pfaffenberg on about 14 hectares of vineyards year after year.In the unique natural and cultural landscape of the Wachau, these sites - cultivated sustainably and with respect for nature - produce wines that do justice to their special origins in every respect: nothing for quick enjoyment, but demanding attention and passion. In the cellar, there is as little intervention as possible, because it is allowed and not made. In the end, there should be wines with soul and character that are as authentic as nature dictates and that do not chase after any popular mainstream. Pichler Krutzler wines are pure, unadulterated and uncompromising. They are harvested and processed on a parcel-by-parcel basis. Since no water or juice is added, no fining and no additives are used, all wines are completely unadorned and authentic. High-quality handicraft without fashionable tendencies.
