On the nose, precise, elegant, with aromas of red cherries, wild strawberries, blueberries, plums, roses and roasted aromas in the background. Soft, juicy, fresh on the palate, with fine tannins, with aromas of various berries, sour cherries, red plums, iris and again subtle roasted notes.

Producer Information

Olivier Pittet is a Vaudois winemaker who lives in Fully and works a micro-estate of less than one hectare of vines on the Rhône hillsides in the center of Valais. He is best known for his work to revive the Grosse Arvine grape variety, a grape variety common in Valais in the 19th century in the region of Fully and Martigny but which had almost entirely disappeared since then. But there is not only this grape variety in Olivier Pittet's vines since there are also Chasselas, Petite Arvine, Pinot Gris, Durize, Gamay and Syrah. Olivier Pitet's range also contains white blends as well as some sweet wines produced using noble grain selection methods or late harvests. The vines are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics.
