The roundness of Viognier and beautiful aromas of yellow fruits, very pure and without artifice. The heat of the hillside is there, but with a touch of freshness all the same and it's excellent.

• Gilbert & Gaillard: Bright pale yellow. Subdued nose revealing floral and stone fruit aromas after swirling. The palate shows seductive fullness, fat and power offset by a trace of freshness. Long mineral and faintly saline finish. An ambitious Condrieu.

Domaine Christiane Chambeyron-Manin is one wine created from a 0.5 hectare parcel on the hill of Côte Brune in Côte-Rôtie. The parcel lies right above the family’s domaine. For us to work with Véronique Manin is a great honor. Marius Chambeyron, Véronique’s grandfather, was a man passionate about the land and very involved in the work of the vine. The estate he built little by little from 1948 to 1992 has expanded to 4 hectares in Côte Brune in the Côte Rotie appellation. In 1992, Véronique’s mother, Christiane, chose to take up a small part of the estate in memory of the work done by her father throughout his life. The domaine name “Chambeyron-Manin” is a story of tribute to Veronique’s grandfather and to her father. The name “Manin” comes from Véronique’s father, Michel Manin, a well-known vegetable farmer in his region, recognized for his passion for nature and his craft. After Véronique and her brother, Michael, took over farming the 0.5 hectare parcel, they changed the name of the domaine to Christiane Chambeyron-Manin in honor of their mother.
