2021 | Pares Balta | Calcari Xarel-lo

Concentrated and creamy, yet with a Mediterranean influence and a core of minerality, this is a white wine which also reveals the typicity of the Xarel lo grape variety, with mellow notes of chamomile, white-fleshed stone fruits, hazelnut and dried herbs.

The history of Parés Baltà begins in the eighteenth century, when in 1790, the first vineyards were planted on the Parés Balta estate, vineyards that still surround the manor house where our winery is located. The old cava cellar was constructed in the beginning of the twentieth century, stone by stone. Located 10 meters underground with a natural and constant temperature of 14-15ºC, it is the perfect place for the ageing of our cavas. The barrel room has all the small details to let the wines age under the most favorable conditions, even during the warmer summers.
