Masca Del Tacco Susumaniello is a rich and opulent red, great for lovers of Primitivo or oaked Riojas. It's full bodied, with a deep red colour and ripe blueberry and cherry aromas, as well as warming spice and earthiness. As well as being powerful and hearty, it's also got a real elegance to it, with smooth ripe tannins, a touch of vanilla and toasty oak, and bright fresh fruit flavours which keep going in your mouth.

In 2010 Felice Mergè bought and restored a building long known as the Cooperativa Comunale dei Produttori di Erchie, which had been established in 1949. He renamed it Masca del Tacco and brought the building back to its original rural splendor. Masca del Tacco subsequently expanded its vineyards in the areas of Veglie and Torricella. The warmth of the land and the influence of the sea from the Salentina peninsula, the hard-working hands of farmers, and the weather: all result in extremely unique wines. Tradition, identity, and territory as well as passion, commitment, and experience are the values shared by the winery. Masca Del Tacco continues to grow native grapes, making use of the soil's potentiality. The vineyards are tended to manually, winemaking is traditional, and the use of aging woods is never too invasive, so as to obtain wines that are as pure as possible.
