Distilled in May 2001 at Braeval in Speyside, this single cask expression has been matured for a full 13 years before bottling by renowned family-run indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the Distiller's Art series. Matured in a single sherry butt for its entire term, just 784 individually numbered bottles were filled in 2014, each one at a strength of 48% abv.

Nose: Honeyed fruit and light floral spice.

Palate: Creamy red fruit, light barley, clove and orange zest.

Braeval distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Chapeltown, Banffshire, Scotland. Founded in 1973 as Braes of Glenlivet, the distillery is owned by Chivas Brothers. The name was changed to avoid confusion with an unrelated single malt.
