Romanian single malt from Carpathian here, aged in 53-gallon first-fill American white oak Kentucky bourbon barrels for three years before being transferred to 200L oak barrels that previously held the ancient Cyprian wine Commandaria.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: Notes of vanilla, raisin, fig and a little spice.

Finish: The finish is quite unique, rich and long lasting.

The launch of a single malt whisky matured in Romanian wine casks is a world premiere. Romania has more than 2,000 years of history of in wine production and is one of the biggest wine producers in the world. Alexandrion Group, through Alexandrion Rhein 1892 Domains, its wine division, produces some of the best, internationally awarded wines in Romania.
