A traditional rye whiskey, made with modern craft distilling techniques. It's high, 70% toasted rye mash bill gives this expression the perfect balance of bold rye spice and vanilla oak.

Cedar Ridge Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Spicy, floral aromas of fresh lily, raw sugar, cantaloupe, anisette biscotti, and wheat grass.

Palate: The palate is vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body.

Finish: Medium-length ginger lemon candy, licorice, maraschino cherry pits, and white pepper and gingerbread cookies finish.

Distillery Information

Nestled in a picturesque stretch of the Heartlands, just outside the town of Swisher in Eastern Iowa, sits Cedar Ridge Vineyards, Winery, and Distillery. Family-owned by Jeff and Laurie Quint, Jeff serves as both Master Distiller and Master Winemaker at the small operation, which has an outsized reputation for quality. Cedar Ridge — the first micro-distillery in the state — began distilling vodka back in 2005 before moving onto fruit liqueurs and, eventually, bourbon, crafting Iowa’s first bourbon whiskey since Prohibition.
