Detailed Description

This 100% natural pot-still Haitian rum was produced by Bethel Romulus (great name) in the village of Pignon from three varieties of sugar cane. The distillery was built on a rock and the bottling named Le Rocher because Romulus is a devoutly religious man and so took inspiration from the Gospel of Matthew, verses 7: 24-27 'The foolish man builds the house on the sand and instead the wise man builds it on the rock'.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fruity aroma.

Palate: Exotic spice, soft vanilla and sweet coconut combine here.

Finish: Smooth.

Distillery Information

Romulus Bethel’s distillery is located in Pignon, in the northern arrondissement of Saint-Raphael, no more than an hour of dirt road from St. Michel, the village where Sajous' distillery is.
