Although not distilled at Stitzel Weller like earlier Presidential Select releases, this bourbon was produced from 15 lots of whiskey aged 21 to 24 years old! Once blended, these translated to 2,000 cases of the finished Jefferson's with plenty of oak influence that had been allowed to develop in a cooler area of the warehouse where it matured.

Jefferson's Presidential Select 21 Year Old Batch 6 Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich toffees and wood spice straying into pleasant leather notes from the long ageing.
Palate: Plenty of oak influence, honeycomb, walnut, polish, but sweet vanilla, lime and rye spice keep things on track.
Finish: Very long with perfumed, fragrant caramels.
Distillery Information
Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian. They were continuing a family tradition that goes back to Trey’s 8th generation grandmother who was arrested in 1799 for the “production and sales of spirituous liquors.” To personify the brand, they chose Thomas Jefferson—known for his curiosity and experimental spirit. This is a mindset to which Trey has dedicated himself, pushing the boundaries of the definition of bourbon. Upholding tradition, yet always discovering new possibilities.
