Black Stallion Winery (also labeled Black Stallion Estate Winery) is a Californian estate in the Oak Knoll District sub-region of Napa Valley. It is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon but has a catalogue with a range of other popular grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.The iconic winery was constructed in 2007, marking the establishment of the brand. Black Stallion is located at the historic Silverado Horseman's Center – a former indoor and outdoor equestrian facility established on the Silverardo Trail (and used in the fliming of Francis Ford Coppolla's Vietnam War film, Apocalypse Now).The property's equestrian history was the inspiration for the Black Stallion name, and some of the structures of the equestrian grounds were incorporated into the winery, which was built inside the former indoor arena.
