      Full-bodied dry red wine with notes of raspberries, blueberry, anise and sweet spiced character, together with soft tannins, leading to a sweet cherried finish.

      • Andreas Larsson: Intense dark core. Sweet aromas of plum, dark fruit, Kirsch and cassis with mild spices. The palate is rounded and generous, a slight sweetness but fine tannin adds freshness, spicy and long finish.

      The Attanasio Giuseppe farm continues with passion the traditions of a typical family of Salento winemakers. The large star vaults of a late 19th century building house the cellar and the winemaking facilities. The Primitivo grapes have been arriving there since 2000, harvested using the traditional method and coming exclusively from the estate's vineyards, about 6 hectares of Apulian saplings in the countryside of Manduria personally cared for by Giuseppe Attanasio with over seventy years' experience. Primitivo di Manduria dop is produced from vineyards made up of 100% Primitivo vine grown on land with a substrate of fissured tuffaceous limestone rock, with traditional planting layouts, training methods and pruning systems. The grape yield is limited to a maximum of 90 quintals per hectare but, in the typical sapling cultivation, it can rarely reach this quantity. The Azienda Agricola G. Attanasio, with its production of only 15,000 bottles a year, takes care of every phase of the production chain, from the vineyards, to the transformation and bottling, always ready to reconstruct the history of the product, of the raw materials and of manufacturing processes. The highly selected grapes are harvested manually and the careful arrangement in boxes guarantees the integrity of the raw material at the beginning of winemaking. The maceration takes place at a controlled temperature in steel silos and the maturation phase of the wines takes place in barriques for a period of time of no less than 12 months.
