2020 | Colombera & Garella | Costa della Sesia

High into the mountains in Northern Piedmont is a highly fragmented region known as Alto Piedmont. Due to the altitude and low pH soils, wines from this area generally have lower alcohol than those from the Langhe, and a distinctive ferrous minerality. This is a pure and fresh wine made from Nebbiolo with 20% Croatina and 15% Vespolina.

The Colombera & Garella winery is located in Masserano, in Northern Piedmont. We cultivate 9.5 hectares of vineyards between the villages of Lessona, Masserano and Roasio.
Using only native grapes - Nebbiolo, Croatina and Vespolina - we make Lessona DOC, Bramaterra DOC and Coste della Sesia DOC.Our philosophy focuses on the search for the highest quality while respecting the environment and the uniqueness of our area.
In the vineyard we apply a sustainable viticulture, avoiding chemical weeding and seeking the utmost respect for the environment.We have always grown only native grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Croatina and Vespolina. Today our winery runs 9.5 hectares of vineyards: 8.5 in the Bramaterra area, precisely in Cottignano, Costa and in Corticella, and 1 hectare in Lessona, the Pizzaguerra vineyard.
