      Detailed Description

The 2020 vintage of Juice Asylum's Maggie Mae is made entirely from biodynamic Sangiovese grapes, produced in Tuscany. There's an emphasis on minimal intervention at the winery, and the appropriately juicy wine, aged for six months in stainless steel tanks, is packed full of fresh forest fruits. Serve this with anything containing olives. Fresh, welcoming and fruity on the nose, with lively peppery notes from the Syrah grapes and a wonderful creamy sensation in the mouth from the small portion of Chardonnay. A juicy wine with great barrel potential.

      Reviews:

      • Thomas Rydberg: Really juicy and welcoming. A bell wine in the positive sense of the word. One glass leads to another. Nice structure with lots of bright red berries and warm spices.

      Producer Information

"A fanatic in relation to everything that is quirky, exciting and, above all, terroir-driven". This is how Alessio Guidi described himself at the time. So it seems quite logical that in 2016 he chose to create this special project that wants to push the boundaries of what is normally associated with classic Tuscan wines. At The juice Asylum, it is the natural that is paramount. This means that there is minimal intervention from the picking of the biodynamically grown quality grapes in the Avignonese fields near Montepulciano in Tuscany to the finished bottle. The result has been a range of dynamic, lively and very exciting wines made by an incredibly talented winemaker.
