"Respected Italian exporter Neil Empson has been unearthing wine gems from his Milano base for nearly three decades. Years ago, he spoke of Suavia Soave as a wine he places “on a similar level to Soave superstar Pieropan.” Unlike most Soave that contains a considerable percentage of trebbiano, the Suavia is made entirely from garganega, and is stainless steel fermented.

In 1982, a century after Giuseppe's pioneering efforts, his son Giovanni and his wife Rosetta took a bold leap. They founded Suavia, a name that pays homage to the ancient city of Soave, and built a state of the art winery dedicated to bottling their own estate wines.
