A 1997 Auchentoshan single malt from indie bottler Douglas Laing, matured in a single refill hogshead for 22 years before being bottled in March 2020 as part of its Old Particular series.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: There is a much greater presence of peat in the taste than the nose suggests. The smokiness quickly hits the palate and then tapers off.
Finish: Very smooth and flavorful.
Distillery Information
Auchentoshan distillery was founded in 1800 and is one of the last remaining Lowland Single Malt Whisky distilleries. The distillery is nicknamed "Glasgow's Distillery"due to its proximity to the eponymous city, and its whisky is nicknamed "breakfast whisky" due to its sweet flavor and elegant texture.
