Joining the Vintage Cask Collection from indie bottler A.D Rattray, a generously aged single malt from Auchentoshan. Distilled in 1998, the whisky spent the next 25 years maturing in a single bourbon barrel.

Nose: Tahitian vanilla, flaked almond and tangerine slice.

Palate: Sweet orange marmalade, juicy mango and crystallised ginger.

Finish: Green tea and cashew nut when the waves of tropical fruit subside.

Distillery Information

Auchentoshan, meaning 'corner of the field' in Gaelic and pronounced 'Ock-Un-Tosh-Un' was established in 1823 by John Bullock - a local corn merchant who went bust just five years later. His son, Archibald took over but similarly went bankrupt the following year.
