A rare bottle of Avonside-Glenlivet single malt, distilled in 1938 and bottled 33 years later by Gordon & MacPhail. The naming was a result of Glenlivet taking legal action against other distillers from calling their whisky "Glenlivet" - however, it did allow them to stick "Glenlivet" on the end of their whisky!

Nose: Clean and fresh with hints of fruit pastilles, orange jelly and polished oak.
Palate: Clean and crisp with notes of marmalade, tropical fruits and peppery spice.
Finish: Long and warming with fruit jelly notes lingering.
Distillery Information
The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since.
