Ballindalloch 8 Year Old 2015 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Antique furniture, figs, dates and a touch of menthol. Syrupy berries.
Palate: Dry spice then redcurrants. After a while the robust spirit shows bran and cocoa carefully not dominated by the Oloroso cask.
Finish: Long nutty dark chocolate, then Turkish delight and berries and jaffa cakes.
Distillery Information
The history of distilling on the Ballindalloch Estate dates back to the early 1820's when a distillery was built at Delnashaugh, above the junction of the rivers Avon and Spey near where the Delnashaugh Hotel stands today. The idea of rebuilding a distillery at Ballindalloch began late in the summer of 2011.
