This Islay single malt was distilled at Caol Ila in 2010. Bottled in 2017 by Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions range, this 7 year old single cask expression is presented at 46% abv, free from chill-filtration and artificial colouring.The nose starts sweet before a burst of iodine.

Nose: Full and rounded, initially sweet then a burst of iodine.
Palate: Smooth and sweet vanilla custard and marzipan before seaweed and a hint of peat.
Finish: Long and lingering with a touch of peat smoke.

Built in 1846, Caol Ila is the largest of the eight working distilleries on the island of Islay (situated off the west coast of Scotland), with a production capacity of 3 million litres per year.
