Cotswolds Cloudy Christmas Gin | 700ML

Fabulously festive gin here from the Cotswolds Distillery! The Cloudy Christmas Gin is made with a combination of nine botanicals, with a festive core of clementine and piney juniper alongside the likes of cardamom, lavender, grapefruit, bay leaf, black pepper, coriander, and angelica. As with the classic Cotswolds Dry Gin, the distillers use plenty (and we mean plenty) of botanicals, meaning the gin has a lot of botanical oils in it, so when it's mixed with gin, it'll turn wonderfully cloudy!

Nose: Right from the start there’s an obvious intensity to the aroma, with a zingy, citrus heavy juniper leaping out.

Palate: Neat, juniper hits the roof of the mouth with a burst of fresh pine, and as with the nose, the citrus is there too, fresh and a little bitter.

Finish: The finish is more subdued, with the lavender appearing.

Distillery Information

The Cotswolds Distillery was founded in 2013 by Dan Szor in Stourton in the heart of the Cotswolds, inspired by his passion for single malt whisky. Making their home in an old barn conversion, Dan had his stills build by Forsyths in Rothes - the wash still is named Proud Mary and the spirit still is named Janis. The first release from the Cotswolds Distillery was Cotswolds Dry Gin, which made its way to our shelves in late 2014. A few years later, in 2017, the very first whisky from the Cotswolds Distillery (as well as the very first single malt whisky distilled in the Cotswolds) was released - and has been very well received, picking up a Gold medal at the World Whiskies Awards 2019 and a Liquid Gold Award in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
