Detailed Description

Nebraska's first single malt whiskey is made with 100% malted barley and limestone-filtered water sourced from the Sandhills. It's distilled in Scottish copper pot stills and aged in American oak barrels for 2 years. The distillery's name is a reminder of the state's historical significance in railroad development.

Cut Spike Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is lifted with bright notes of candied ginger and Douglas fir, a sense of promised vanilla sweetness wafts in at the end.

Palate: Sweet and mellow, cool mouthfeel, soft burn. Flavors reminiscent of hard butterscotch candies, mildly floral, not much spice, solid oak presence, lots of caramel, toffee, and more charred oak on the back end.

Finish: Finish is long and smooth.
