Dancing Sands Dry Gin | 700ML

From New Zealand's Dancing Sands distillery comes a gin combining eight hand-crushed botanicals, including manuka, almonds, cardamom and liquorice alongside more traditional botanicals. The gin is double distilled and botanicals are vapour infused, before the spirit is blended with water sourced from the Dancing Sands Spring. As always with Dancing Sands bottlings, the packaging is truly wonderful and colourful, meant to represent the botanicals in the gin.

Dancing Sands Dry Gin | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: A wave of honeyed juniper, followed by subtle spices of peppercorn and cardamom, a touch of ground almond and the gentle scent of a springtime forest.

Palate: Cardamom and green manuka leaves take on a warmer and luscious character as they dance onto the tastebuds. Honeyed juniper and freshly cracked black pepper soon join, leading to liquorice sweetness. Perfectly balanced.

Finish: A perfectly balanced combination of bitter and sweet and all the way refreshing

Distillery Information

Our journey begins with a love story that takes us from the UK and the United States and ends with one of New Zealand’s most creative and established distilleries – Dancing Sands. Our founders Sarah and Ben first hit it off when they met through their corporate jobs. After managing a long distance relationship between New York and London they decided to start a new chapter together in New Zealand. Eventually, Sarah and Ben Bonoma both left their corporate careers and took a leap into the unknown to establish Dancing Sands Distillery in 2016. Trading the corporate for the creative, and spreadsheets for stills, the Bonomas risked it all to follow their dream: producing world-class spirits in what is the most beautiful place on the planet.
