Lux Row Double Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

“We wanted to do something unique to commemorate the opening of Lux Row Distillers so I tasted through many barrels to find the ones that would complement each other perfectly creating a well-balanced, flavorful bourbon,” said Luxco Head Distiller John Rempe at the time it was released. “Each two barrel combinations will be slightly different but will have strong caramel and vanilla notes, with a warm and spicy finish.”

Lux Row Double Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Tasting Notes

Nose: A lot of booze up front, but gets complex once the senses get accustomed to the heat. Picked up a variety of maple, brown sugar, and green apple in the background.

Palate: Hot, with flavors of orange peel, fall spices, and honey.

Finish: There’s also a sweetness that is reminiscent of sherry in there followed by a solid oaky finish.

Distillery Information

With over 18,000 square feet, 6 barrel warehouses at capacity and a 43-foot custom copper still, Lux Row Distillers is capable of producing 3 million gallons of spirit per year. When fully complete we will have the composite to process 50 thousand barrels of Whiskey annually.
