Douglas Laing has done its thing and bottled up a delicious single malt whisky from a fine Scotch whisky distillery, this time it is Glenglassaugh in the glass. This 8-year-old vintage 2015 single malt was aged in a single refill hogshead (cask 18680).

Nose: Demerara sugar, orchard fruit, sea breeze, waxy orange, and cinnamon.

Palate: Juicy red berries, balanced by vanilla, ginger, and peppercorn.

Finish: Fruity flapjack and creamy malt.

Distillery Information

The Glenglassaugh Distillery Company was established in 1875 to oversee the new distillery's build at Sandend Bay, though during the 20th century it was beset with long periods of closure brought on by economic woes hitting the whole industry.
