The 90 proof, small-batch bourbon is the first product to be launched under the Goodwood Spirits line.Goodwood Stout Bourbon is aged in charred white oak American barrels for 12 years, before being finished in Goodwood Bourbon Stout barrels. “Bourbon has always been an integral part of the Goodwood product line with our barrel aged program” notes CEO Ted Mitzlaff.
Goodwood Stout Barrel Finish Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes.
Nose: Dark fruit, Caramel, Hints of Stout Ale.
Palate: Stout Ale, Chocolate Covered Cherries, Caramel, Rye Spice, Light Oak.
Finish: Very solid, viscous mouth feel that lingers in a deliciously good way.
Distillery Information
Barton 1792 Distillery was established in 1879 and denys today as the oldest fully-operating Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Situated in heart of bourbon country on 196 acres, the Distillery boasts 29 barrel aging warehouses, 22 other buildings including an impressive still house, and the legendary Tom Moore Spring.
