Detailed Description

Founded in 1877. The high proportion of corn among the raw materials is the characteristic of IW Harper's smooth taste. IW Harper was born by the American immigrant from Germany, Isaac Wolf Bernheim. Focusing on quality in the days when bad bourbon was widespread, and finally completed in 1877, the bourbon was named with his initials "IW" and his best friend Frank Harper, "IW Harper". 1885 Won a gold medal at the World's Fair in New Orleans. Since then, he has been awarded the gold medal at various exhibitions, and as a result, he has come to be called the gold medal for that medal.

Distillery Information

Owned by what is now Diageo between 1992 to 1999 who sold Bernheim Distillery to present owners Heaven Hill. (Diageo also owned another bourbon distillery which carried the Bernheim name until 1980s).
