This Japanese sake is incredibly versatile – created to be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a lower ABV alternative to spirits in cocktails. The sake is produced in the Niigata region of Japan using local rice and prized water from the Kaji River.

KAY Junmai Daiginjo Sake | 720ML Tasting Notes

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: Soft and silky in texture, with crisp notes of orchard fruit nestling on subtly savoury layers beneath.

Finish: Elegant long lasting aftertaste.

Distillery Information

In the 1790s, our first owner, Hidematsu Ichishima, moved out from the head family and started a sake production site where Aumont brewery now exists. The very first sake brand was named “Suwa-Mori” after the Suwa Shrine which stands in front of the brewery.
