MB Roland Straight Rye Whiskey

It's a rye expression from those MB Roland folks over in west Kentucky! It's made up of a mash bill of 68% rye, 27% local white corn and 5% malted barley, with the buttery corn helping mellow those spicy rye notes. It's then aged in a new alligator char oak barrels and bottled at a healthy 55% ABV.

Nose: Kitchen spices and light notes of menthol, along with oily nuts, caramel and pear skin.

Palate: Melted brown sugar and cinnamon, with mint chocolate and dried herbs.

Finish: The finish is surprisingly long and warming.
