He works closely with all of the agave that he uses for his mezcal, and he is known for experimenting with the addition of different ingredients in an extra third distillation, similar to a Pechuga. The agaves were roasted with mezquite and encino wood. It was fermented for eight days, distilled in a copper refrescadera still, and adjusted with puntas and shishe.
