Back in 1981 the very first Slane Castle concert took place, headlined by Irish rockers Thin Lizzie. Safe to say it went down well, as over 40 years later the annual Slane Festival is still going strong.

Nose: Vibrant oak char, fresh apple, and creamy vanilla lead the way, cushioning gentle gingery spice.

Palate: Sweet notes of nougat, dark plums and berries, silky butterscotch with hearty helpings of toasted oak.

Finish: Buttered popcorn, vanilla richness with orchard fruits, toffee, hints of sawdust, and a prickle of pepper.
