This single malt is distilled on the Isle of Skye at the Talisker distillery. Talisker 10 Year Old is the classic expression from the distillery that was founded in 1830 and is a great example of the big, dry, peaty and peppery flavours for which Talisker is famed.
Talisker 10 Year Old Gift Set Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Powerful peat smoke and a delicate sea salt with a twist of lemon.
Palate: Rich dried fruits and barley flavours, with a coating of smoke and a peppery edge.
Finish: Long and warming with pepper and an emerging sweetness.
Distillery Information
Talisker Distillery is heavily influenced by its location on the Isle of Skye — it embodies the spirit of the rocky, storm-lashed island and its strong, steadfast people. The distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, who leased the Talisker House from Clan MacLeod and eventually converted it into a distillery.
