Filled to an ex-bourbon cask (number 16203) on the 27th of October 1969 at the Glenrothes distillery, this bottle has spent almost 50 years maturing and mellowing in this single cask before being bottled in 2018. Brought to us by the explorers of malt whisky at The Last Drop company, this luxurious cask has only produced 168 bottles meaning that only a lucky few will ever get the chance to sample its deep and warming unique flavours. With each bottle displayed in a beautiful leather box and complete with a replica 5cl sample and leather-bound book with space for your very own tasting notes, this bottle is the perfect addition to anyone’s collection.

Nose: Dry with notes of toffee and fruit mixing their way through.

Palate: Smooth and soft with notes of beeswax, vanilla and light layers of liquorice that create an all-round deep sweet flavour.

Finish: Long and filled with spicy flavours that dance at the back of your throat.

Distillery Information

Glen Grant is situated just near Rothes, which is also the hometown of Glenrothes Whisky. The river Spey feeds the distillery.

James and John Grant, both brothers, founded the distillery in 1840. They were once in the business of illegal distilling. When they wanted to get on the legal side with a license they decided to start with Glen Grant.
