Detailed Description
Detailed Description
The color is almost black, with dark red highlights and a subtle purple edging. The nose, complex and of a beautiful freshness, opens on empyreumatic notes, enriched with powerful aromas of black fruits. From the attack, the mouth is very coated, signed by an elegant, powerful and tight structure, with silky and intense tannins. It evolves towards an impressively long finish, with nicely woody notes.
Reviews:
- Wine Advocate: Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 Belgrave gives up baked cherries, mulberries, stewed plums and forest floor scents with camphor and spice box nuances. Medium to full-bodied, soft and fleshy on the palate, it has a spicy/raisin cake finish.
Producer Information
The great wine of the property is the Château Belgrave, classified 5th Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Thanks to the studies carried out on the property to understand the behavior of the vine according to the nature of the subsoil and its water supply, the team du Château Belgrave has acquired a perfect knowledge of the vineyard. Vineyard work, associated with reasoned protection, as well as harvesting have been adapted to this mapping. The wine expresses all the finesse and personality of this great terroir. Dense and deep, it is distinguished by its ability to keep, its aromatic complexity and its very Saint-Julien character.
